Submissions Are Closed! Here’s What Happens Next (And Important Rules for Development)
To all our registrants,
First and foremost—take a deep breath. The deadline has officially passed.
Whether you are part of a team that successfully hit the "Submit" button at the final second, or you’re a solo dev who ran out of time before fixing that last bug, we want to say: Thank you.
For Those Who Submitted
Congratulations! You shipped. In the world of software development, getting a product out the door is half the battle. You should be incredibly proud of what you accomplished.
For Those Who Didn't Quite Make It
If you ran out of time or hit a blocker you couldn't overcome—don't be discouraged. "Better luck next time" is a cliché, but in hacking, it’s the truth. Every error log is a lesson. We hope you keep working on your idea, regardless of the contest results.
⚠️ Critical Update: Freezing Your Code for Judging
Now that the deadline has passed, we are moving into the judging phase.
Do not push updates to your submitted repository or live demo site.
To keep things fair for every participant, we cannot allow any updates, bug fixes, or modifications to the project materials while judging is in progress so that we judge exactly what was submitted at the deadline.
How to Keep Building (The Right Way)
We know you are excited to keep developing toward your beta launch or V2, etc;. We don't want you to stop! You just need you to do it fairly:
-
Keep the Submission Frozen: Ensure the URL, login instructions, and code repository provided in your submission point to the frozen hackathon version. Do not touch this environment.
-
Fork and Branch: If you want to continue working, please fork your repository or create a new branch.
-
Separate Environment: Deploy your ongoing work to a separate URL/environment.
By doing this, you ensure the judges see exactly what they are supposed to see, while you continue to innovate in the background.
What’s Next?
Our team is currently hard at work processing the thousands of submissions. We are organizing the queues for our judges to ensure every line of code gets the attention it deserves.
-
Project Gallery: We will be publishing the public gallery of submissions as soon as we can.
-
Updated Timeline: Keep an eye on your inbox; we will send out an updated schedule for finalist announcements and winner reveals.
Rest up, hydrate, and congratulations again on being part of this journey.
