Beta Launch

Hello,

Our team is aiming to launch our project as a beta product, and therefore we need to continue development. We are able to keep the public repository submitted for the hackathon intact, however, the website to which login instructions have been provided will be updated with the most recent version of the product. We are seeking confirmation that this is acceptable within the rules to avoid being disqualified. Please let us know.

Thank you!

    Hi there,

Regarding your question: to keep things fair for everyone, we can’t allow any updates or modifications to the project while judging is in progress. The rules are pretty strict about submissions staying "substantively the same" after the deadline.

The judges score based on the specific version you submitted, so if the live site changes and no longer matches your repo or demo video, it could definitely mess with scoring your submission.

The best move is to keep the website/login instructions pointed at the frozen hackathon version for now. If you need to keep developing for your beta launch, we’d recommend doing that on a separate URL or environment so it doesn’t overlap with the entry the judges are looking at.

    Good luck!
