is it required to used GOOGLE AI STUDIO?

Hey, i submitted a project that I built locally, but used Gemini 3 Flash API Key, but the team rejected it. Can anyone please clear my confusion is it mandatory to use GOOGLE AI STUDIO to build the app, or can it be built locally and use gemini api key?

  Hi there,

  You can build locally but you will need to provide a public code repo. Please note judges will not use their own API keys to test and may not test at all. They will most likely use the demo video and other submission materials for judging. Good luck!
